art walk lamps

These lamps were con-structed with Joshua Martin in creating a promotional item for the South First Friday Art walk located in the city of San Jose.

The product was made in hopes that the gap between art and design will disappear. Each of the lamps referred to a different social problem such as education for all, recycling, using sweatshops, or self-reflection. The words used are ones that resemble the act of being lit.
